RCCB


RCCB is an electrical wiring device whose function is to disconnect the circuit whenever there is leakage of current flow from the human body, or the current flow is not balanced between the phase conductors. It is the best for detecting and taking care of electrical leakage currents, so it gives protection against electric shock or electrocution caused by direct contacts. RCCB is usually used in series with an MCB. The MCB protects the RCCB from over-current and short-circuits current. Both neutral and phase wires are connected through an RCCB.  The combination of these two devices provides a very effective form of protection from electric shock, and it is widely used for protection against a leakage current of about 30,100 and 200mA.

Standard confirming to IEC61008 approved by SEMKO CB which gives protection against ground fault and available in a rated current of 25,32,40,63A and in 240VAC 2(1+N) and 240/425VAC 4(3+N) pole. There are operated at a rated sensitivity current of 30,100,300mA and half the current on a residual non-operating current. The residual current off time at the operating currents is ≤0.5s. The rated conditional short-circuit current is 6KA for 25,32,40,63A. It’s rated making capacity is 500A for 25,32,40A and 630A for 63A.  The type of trip on these breakers are Electro-magnetic release. It can be plugged into a terminal via lug. Cables up to 35mm² can be used to connect to a terminal and are mounted on 35mm DIN rail. RCCB’s are operated in A/AC currents with a slot size of 45mm.
